With the longest stretch of continuous coastline in England, this is a land whose history is intricately bound up with the sea. There are tiny fishing ports, old smuggler’s inns and sturdy granite breakwaters, not to mention countless beaches and sweeping bays. From the secluded coves and tree-clad creeks along the county’s southern coast to the wild grandeur of the north coast cliffs, Cornwall is one of Britain’s most breathtakingly beautiful counties.
Essaouira means ‘Image’ and from any angle this place really does look stunning. It is situated on Morocco’s Atlantic Coast between Marrakech to the North and Agadir to the South. It stands on a vast bay that sweeps south with miles of golden sandy beaches and wooded hills. The colours of the surroundings are all vivid hues of blue, white and yellow, bright and happy just like the local people.
Puerto de Mazarron is situated on the Costa Calida (Warm Coast) between the historic port Cartagena to the North and faded seaside glamour of Aguilas to the south. The Costa Calida sits within the region of Murcia and offers a fabulous Mediterranean climate, an average annual temperature of 18ºC, hot summers (up to 40ºC max) and mild winters (on average 11ºC in December and January). On top of fine weather the area surrounding Puerto de Mazarron boasts some of the finest beaches in Spain, outside of August which is peak season this untouched area is really quiet (except during the colourful fiestas of course!).
